Mahdiah has experience conducting and coordinating research projects (including collaborative and participatory research as well as action research), mainly studying social and environmental impacts of socio-technical innovations, and including how they are shaping public policy. Mahdiah has an MSc in Environmental Sciences with her thesis focusing on scaling strategies for spreading social and technical innovations, more specifically in the alternative food production/marketing and renewable energy fields.
Mahdiah has been living in the UAE since September 2015. She joined Dubai Carbon as Bids and Proposals Officer and is part of the External Communications team. In collaboration with the technical team, she writes proposals and coordinates submissions.
