Mariam Maani has been practicing in the field of environmental engineering and management since her graduation from the American University of Sharjah with a degree of Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. Mariam’s experience is diversified over a variety of sectors including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting, research on energy and resource efficiency, sustainability, green economy, and climate change mitigation/adaptation.
Mariam is also an active academic researcher in resource efficiency, particularly in the field of water resources. Currently, she is performing field and analytical studies on an irrigation efficiency projects in the UAE in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah. The project findings are demonstrated in international peer-reviewed journal publications.
